Audre Lorde Portrait

Conceptual Portrait. Inspired by the activist/intersectional feminist/writer’s essay entitled “The Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power.” The yellow background echoes the light and shadows seen when sunlight beams pass through tree leaves on the sidewalk. Materials used were graphite for linework and values, and coloring was done using Procreate.
