Illustration commissioned in collaboration with Plenary Co. for their “Future of Us” project- a nonprofit intiative to “reimagine civic futures…” The work was created in response to an interview with two sisters’ visions- Sienna age 9 and Bella age 14- from Portland, Oregon. They wished for a world where schools were exploratory, hands-on, and classroom dynamics included all ages. My interpretation of that community future vision within the context of media materialized in the illustration above. This work was created with graphite on paper and later scanned and colored with Affinity Studio and Procreate.
